I'm a little late getting this post completed for LoEB but I have a cool story that just happen and I wanted to share it. I really wanted to share it because it sort of involves Brian from Cool and Collected. Brief background to story: Toy Biz's X-men toy line was the second series of action figures I got into while I was young. The first being Ninja Turtles and then around 1993 I switched over to the Uncanny X-men run. |
Collecting Toy Biz toys isn't that hard, so I've tried making it more difficult for myself. One way is by trying to find MOC figures and ensuring that the cards are in mint condition. The other way of making it more difficult is by finding purchasing errors. This is where Cool and Collected came into play.
About a month ago I purchased my first packaging error from Cool and Collected. It's pictured to the left. Its a Spy Wolverine printed on a Bishop card. I don't see packaging errors that often. Occasionally they pop up on eBay but I don't see them at toy shows. This past weekend was the St.Louis Wizard Con. The show was mostly a let down but I did come across something within the first 10 minutes that I wasn't going to leave the show with out. I found another packaging error. But this packaging error stuck out to me. It was the opposite of my packaging error. It was a Bishop figure on a spy wolverine card!! I'm not sure what the actual odds of this are, but I guarantee that its pretty rare. I thought it was a cool story and had to share it.
